Tiger attracts sellout crowd on practice day in Melbourne
It’s not often that Tiger visits down under and when he does, people would do anything to get a piece of him.
The world’s best golfer Tiger Woods hit Kingston Heath in Melbourne Australia at 8am this morning for a practice round with Australia’s veteran Craig Parry at 8am local time. As expected, a huge crown watched on as he hit off on the 10th tee this morning. It is Tiger’s first event in Australia since the Presidents Cup in 1998. The Masters begins on Thursday. as the morning went on, the crowds grew rapidly, all flocking to watch every single move he makes. As expected, security was high with around up to 6 security guards following him. At times, it was difficult to see Tiger through all the security, even from a few metres away. These photos are taken this morning as he made his way around the practice round at Kingston Heath golf club.
As reported, spectators were in awe as they watched on. One fan said: “to be literally just metres from him as he plies his trade is unbelievable.” As we all know, Tiger’s immense success comes from consistency. Non-one applies techniques as consistently and diligently as he does. No wonder he is such a raging success.
How will Tiger play in Australia? Many locals believe he has a high chance of not making the cut, because the courses are very different to those on the US Tour. However, I believe he will do just an outstanding job. He’s Tiger, and that’s what Tiger does, he has a standard for himself that no one has matched in the golfing arena.
